Let’s Make America Healthy Again – Republican Women Lead with Health Experts

In February, the Republican Women of Baltimore County hosted an impactful meeting centered on the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) initiative—a growing movement led by RFK Jr. and newly embraced by the Trump campaign. With America facing declining life expectancy and skyrocketing chronic illness, this timely panel asked: How did we get here—and how do we reclaim our health?

A Powerful Panel on Truth, Health, and Local Action

The meeting featured four dynamic speakers: Matt McBride (Maryland Health Data Scientist), Kevin Ford (Regenerative Farmer), Tony DeCesare (Founder, Metabolix Fitness), and Jolie McShane (Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach). Their message? Health starts at home—with our food, our choices, and our communities.

Tony DeCesare: Laying the Groundwork for MAHA

Tony DeCesare presented the core values of the MAHA movement, citing RFK Jr.’s bold platform:

  • Cut chronic disease rates by addressing root causes

  • Empower individuals to make informed health choices

  • Reduce exposure to toxic environmental factors

  • Champion natural, traditional, and nutrient-dense foods

  • Push back against corporate control of public health

  • Restructure captured federal agencies like the FDA, CDC, and NIH

Jolie McShane: Take Back Your Health

Health coach Jolie McShane delivered a fiery and passionate call to action. She exposed how corporate influence over federal agencies has led to processed school lunches, toxic beverages like Gatorade, and supposed “health” drinks like Ensure being pushed on the public—despite their harmful, artificial ingredients.

"Why is autism now 1 in 36? Why has chronic illness increased by 700% since 1930? Why are our kids sick, depressed, and confused while our government agencies stay silent?”– Jolie McShane

But the evening wasn’t just about calling out problems—it was about real, hopeful solutions.

Jolie urged attendees to stop relying on bureaucrats for their health and instead buy from local regenerative farmers, support farmers markets, and focus on unprocessed, real food. “This is a bottom-up movement,” she said. “Health and culture start at the local level.”
