Trump’s Positions?

By a RWBC Member

Regarding an assassination attempt on Donald Trump at a Saturday, July 13 rally, situated in a bucolic, open field in Pennsylvania, I found myself reflecting on the continued assault and trauma that he, as well as his family, has been subjected to over the last eight years. And in a moment of sudden awareness, I harkened back to the suffering Jesus endured. I am sure the comparison between them is not a new line of thinking and certainly not elevating Trump to that godly level, but I thought it might be interesting to share a bit of a correlation I noticed between the two in one of the photos that was captured of Trump.

Similar to Jesus' torments, Donald Trump has been vilified, persecuted, then similarly prosecuted, slapped around emotionally and stripped of belongings. For Trump, financially. Lied about and lied to. Jesus, on his path to Calvary, and Trump likewise of his to the presidency, the tribulation endured by both is most palpable and noteworthy. The journey of both to sacrifice and ultimately save what meant the most to them, souls for one and America for the other, deserves the praise, appreciation and respect it deserves. Donald Trump did not necessarily need to relinquish the lifestyle he was living. Swathed in much deserved wealth he could have continued to live his life on his own terms. But considering his love for our country and witnessing the continual decline that America is falling into, he made the decision to not only step in but to step up.

So, as I watched, transfixed, the news coverage gradually emerging with even more details of that horrible moment, there are still photos of Trump's positions of his fall. Some were most likely taken by professionals, maybe others by attendees. One in particular, is of a profile angle of Trump's right side of his face, body wedged, down on his knees, nose barely touching the ground, shirt collar askew and dirtied, with blood oozing down his cheek from a 2 centimeter wide gunshot wound having grazed his right ear. In comparison, I was immediately struck by remembering pictures and paintings and even in the movies, the position of Jesus having fallen for His third and final time. The right side of His face, down on his knees, nose inches from the ground with blood trickling from the crown of thorns. Each time I happen to be watching TV coverage, there is, now and then, a repeated display of that photo and the resemblance is notable, at least to me.

And, as an aside and in typical Trump posture, his fist punching the air as he is being lifted to his feet, similar to the rising of the phoenix, a mythical, golden bird symbolizing triumph of life over death, covered by men sworn to protect, with the American flag waving majestically behind him, that shot will most likely become an iconic photograph.

So, in conclusion, allow this troublesome development to generate an eventual mood of unity to as much and to as many as possible abandoning discord in the process. If there was ever a moment in our cultural landscape for harmony and collaboration, it is now. Our American heritage is worth fighting for on every.... single.... level. God and a legion of angels embraced Donald Trump that day. A millimeter more bullet shift and our country could be watching a funeral unfold. Upholding the American ideals and principles that have been written about, fought for and died for should not only be remembered but be the utmost goal to attain.

And... it begins...
