The Executive Officers of the Republican Women of Baltimore County commend the Baltimore County Republican Central Committee for conducting an open and transparent process to fill the vacant Baltimore County Council District 3 seat following the resignation of Wade Kach.
As a long-standing Republican organization dedicated to advancing conservative principles, civic engagement, and strong leadership in Baltimore County, we believe the process of selecting an interim Council representative should be based on qualifications, proven commitment to Republican values, support of party-building efforts, and dedication to the citizens of Baltimore County.
While the Republican Women of Baltimore County Executive Officers are not issuing a formal endorsement in this process, we believe voters and Republican leaders should carefully evaluate each candidate based on the following important questions:
Have you ever supported or contributed to a Democrat candidate?
What have you done as an elected official to build or grow the Baltimore County Republican Party or Republican affiliate organizations?
What do you feel is the single most important issue facing Baltimore County?
What have you done to promote or help Secure the Vote?
What bills, successful or not, are you proudest of supporting during your legislative career?
If not selected today or not nominated in the primary, do you commit to supporting the Republican nominee for Council?
After reviewing the candidates and considering these questions, it appears based on the questions submitted Delegate Nino Mangione demonstrates the experience, conservative leadership, party loyalty, and public service record necessary to effectively serve Baltimore County residents during this interim appointment.
We encourage District 3 residents to attend the public hearing and candidate forum on Saturday, May 30 1:00pm - 4:00pm at the Holiday Inn, Timonium to participate in this important process for the future of Baltimore County.
