The spirit of Christmas came early at the RWBC November 19 meeting. The Caring for America committee created a Pop-Up Christmas Shop to help fund raise for a non- profit group called The Well and their work enterprise Hons Honey.
Sarah Batley, the director of Hons Honey and her team offered RWBC members with wonderful honey gifts to start their holiday shopping. Members enjoyed shopping for gifts which ranged from various flavors of honey to beauty gifts, bees wax candles and lip balms.
Every purchase made of Hons Honey products is used to help women survivors of trauma. Hon's Honey is a social enterprise dedicated to giving dignity and purpose to women survivors of trauma— addiction, trafficking, generational poverty and abuse. The Director, Sarah Batley graciously spoke to our members about Hons Honey's mission of compassion and love that lifts these women up from positions of despair to independence.
